Sarawak
Been in Malaysian Borneo for a couple of days now. We've opted for a slightly nicer hotel after our experiences in Little India where we were alternately frozen by the air conditioning, defeaned from big machines out back, and suffered various painful bed spring injuries. I also wouldn't recommend eating curry out of a poly bag at midnight. If nothing else, it took 3 days for our fingers to return to their normal colour.
In contrast, Kuching has been friendly, safe and Hermann is continuing his quest to eat at every local food court. I remain on permanent prawn alert.
We've arranged to be trekking in the jungle on our birthday. We'll be going up river in a long boat and then staying at jungle camps and in local long houses. Happy birthday Andrew & Ailsa. We'll let you know how we get on when we return.
